It’s important to provide as much information as possible in order to receive an accurate estimate. This includes the origin and destination of the move, the size of the residence or business, the number and type of items to be moved, and any additional services required, such as packing or assembly.
Pro Tip: Contacting us online or email is a fast and easy way to get all your answers and a quote in writing. Our team is online throughout the day, and responds to all online inquiries and emails on a daily basis. Often you’ll receive a reply to your online inquiry or email much sooner than a callback from a voicemail message.
After we receive your initial inquiry with full specific moving details. We can proceed to do an estimate for your move, which includes coming to your location to assess the overall final details of the space and items. Then we can work up a contract with accurate pricing.
If you are on a budget, we can certainly work with you to determine the most affordable plan for you.
Unless packing service is arranged with us, customer is responsible for all packing. Packing must be done at least one day in advance of move and does not affect the minimum charge for the move.
To help make your move smoother and less stressful, here's some pro tips for packing your belongings:
Put heavier items in smaller boxes and lighter bulky items in larger boxes, do not over or under-pack boxes.
If you over-pack, the box is likely to split and you’ll have things protruding from the top. The mover will find it difficult to stack your packed boxes neatly on the truck.
Under-packing boxes is also detrimental because the top of the box will often become dented or crushed.
Always use newer, stronger boxes; boxes that have been used often may not keep your belongings as safe as a newer box; used grocery store boxes will work fine for sturdy items, but make sure you pack breakables in something more substantial.
Pack a suitcase or box of items that you will need for your first day or week in your new home.
Check for any special moving requirements with regards to electronic equipment; also make sure that major appliances and electronics are properly serviced before they are packed or moved.
Use materials such as packing paper, bubble wrap and packing tape to protect your items;
wrapping items in newspaper is a cheaper alternative, but it may leave unwanted marks and stains on your items.
PACK ONE ROOM AT A TIME
ORGANIZATION is the KEY to successful packing.
Use permanent markers and/or labels to keep track of the items that are in the boxes (marked “FRAGILE” where necessary)
For your records, make a list of everything that is packed in order to ensure your items are available as needed. This will make it easier to unpack, do not toss items in the box.
Mark the boxes to which room they belong to.
We recommend packing 2 weeks to a month ahead of time (Rushing can cause a lot of stress)
Throw away items you really don’t need or have a garage sale (less packing).
The day of your moving date, our moving team will give you a courtesy call or text with an arrival timeframe so you will know if they are arriving early, on time or will be running late due to any problems that may arise. While our drivers are always on time, perfection is impossible and it is why we give a half hour window of arrival, which we then try and beat so we have lots of cushion time.
Once we get everything packed in the truck, we will deliver it to your new location. On arrival at the destination, we carefully unload the truck and place all belongings in the appropriate room (based on the labeling made on boxes during packing, if we packed it, or upon your direction) to make unpacking easier for you.
For an additional fee, our movers can also unpack your items. If you you would like our team to handle this part of your moving process, please let our customer service representative know when booking your move.
Please note: the time begins when our employee arrives at your location and ends when your goods have been unloaded from our truck. Your deposit covers your first three hours of assistance depending on number of movers hired.

We generally serve all of Virginia. There is no mileage charge within a 30 mile radius. Service is charged by the hour.

It is best to avoid moving on weekends as those are generally the most expensive times.
Fewer people move during the winter months, meaning movers are more available and you generally can get the best rates. Moving during the middle of the week, even during the summer, often offers the same benefits, as most people move Friday – Monday.
